As we embark upon the sacred journey of faith, it is crucial to understand that the Holy Scriptures delineate salvation into three distinct and profound phases. Each phase is an essential part of the divine tapestry woven by our Creator, providing a roadmap for believers to follow on their spiritual path.
A Glimpse into the Past: Justification
The initial phase is known as justification, a moment in time where we were saved. This represents the past aspect of our salvation, a powerful reminder of the transformative grace we received when we first accepted Christ into our hearts. As Paul writes in Ephesians 2:8, "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God." This phase marks the beginning of our spiritual metamorphosis, a glorious point where old burdens are cast off and new life is embraced through the redeeming love of our Savior.
Walking in the Present: Sanctification
Moving forward, we find ourselves in the present phase of sanctification – a continuous process where we are being saved. This ongoing journey is one of growth and spiritual refinement, as we strive to align our lives more closely with the teachings and example of Jesus. Philippians 2:12-13 encourages us, "So then, my beloved...work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure." Here, we engage in a dynamic partnership with the Divine, allowing His hands to mold us into vessels of His love and purpose.
Looking Ahead to the Future: Glorification
Finally, we look toward glorification, the future promise where we will be saved. This phase represents the ultimate fulfillment of our faith journey – an eternal communion with God, where every tear is wiped away, and we are made whole in His presence. Romans 8:30 assures us of this hope: "These whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified." This divine promise fuels our perseverance and fortitude as we navigate life's trials.
In each phase of salvation – past, present, and future – we find assurance in Christ's unwavering commitment to His followers. These stages are not mere milestones but woven intricately into our spiritual existence's fabric. They serve as reminders of God's boundless love and the eternal covenant He has established with those who walk in faith.
Let us embrace each moment on this sacred journey with gratitude and devotion, knowing that we are held securely in the arms of a loving Savior. May our hearts overflow with joy as we anticipate the fulfillment of His promises in our lives.
With all the Love, Grace, and Mercy that our Savior provides,
